Adult Volunteers

Parents are always welcome and needed to help chaperone our activities. The Center is all volunteer operated. The Center needs 4 parent chaperones minimum every Friday, 2 in the Red Lion Gym and 2 or more in the Center in order for us to provide a safe haven for your children.

If you can find a Friday to volunteer, please fill out the volunteer form and return it to P.O. Box 704, Bryn Athyn PA 19009 and someone will be in contact with you shortly. Big events are planned throughout the year. We also need students to help decorate before our events and help take down after our events. We have plenty of community service projects throughout the VYC and the community that our President runs and the children have many opportunities to participate and obtain hours if they wish.

Student Volunteers

Students grades 7-12 are eligible to volunteer at the Valley Youth Center.

If you are interviewed and approved, you will be scheduled for volunteer work hours on Fridays from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM. If available, student volunteer help is needed for our special holiday parties and other activities. All hours will be entered and saved under your student profile and will be forwarded to your high school guidance counselor at the appropriate time and will go toward your community service record.

The Valley Youth Center will supply snacks, water bottles and 2 pieces of pizza free of charge to all Student Volunteers upon their arrival at the Center. Candy and other beverages will need to be purchased.
